My flight home
Was, in summary, a disaster. We only narrowly avoided being grounded in BWI for the next few days (like as in by a few minutes, it was snowing and we were one of the last flights allowed to fly out). We were already delayed. They had to de-ice the plane (took at least half an hour). We almost missed boarding since they boarded FORTY-FIVE minutes before departure (what the actual fuck?). I mean...

Addendum: The rum cake from the previous post most certainly did still have alcohol in/on it. I’m guessing they poured extra on after it was baked.

The recent anon ask has made me realize
That my family does indeed drink quite a bit of alcohol. It’s probably where I get it from. Eg., we had rum cake as part of dessert (we also had peppermint brownies but that irrelevant), which was accompanied by champagne. With brandied fruit. In the champagne. Which was also in the cake. This was all chased down with the homemade eggnog which has a greater alcohol content than most...
